Diane Terrana is an author and industry professional. Kirkus praised her YA novel The World on Either Side (Orca Books, 2019) as an “ultimately hopeful tale of grief and redemption”. She is also the author of creative non-fiction “Catching Twilight” (Freefall magazine, 2018), and a forthcoming picture book I Wonder Why (Penguin Random House/Nancy Paulsen Books, 2026).

She was the co-founder and co-publisher of the literary zine Don’t Talk to Me About Love (2011-2014), and longtime Executive Editor at The Rights Factory where she worked on memoir, literary fiction, mysteries, and YA.

She has a Masters in English from the University of Toronto and is an award-winning instructor in the School of Continuing Studies, Creative Writing Program.

Diane spends a lot of time in her head and occasionally needs to get out of it. To that end, she went skydiving with her youngest son on his twenty-first birthday—an experience that felt out-of-body as well.
