Raymond Just

Raymond Just is a Marine Corps veteran and business and legal affairs executive at a major motion picture studio. In addition to two law degrees, he holds a B.A. in English Literature from U.C. Berkeley with an emphasis in Creative Writing, and a minor in Film. His first script, a supernatural retelling of Jack the Ripper from a young adult point of view, won the Best Feature Screenplay Award at the London International Film Festival. His first novel is a grounded upper middle-grade fantasy that weaves Canadian folklore with traditional Welsh and Norse mythology in a classic coming of age tale that’s set to launch a magical series. He currently lives in the Hollywood Hills with his wife and two cats, a fantasy film collection that stretches back to the 1960’s, and a study with more books and movie memorabilia than can easily be counted.
